Planned changes
7.4 Enterprise release and 7.5 release timing
Confluence 7.4 will be an Enterprise version and will not contain any new features. That’s why Atlassian is making the milestones of version 7.5 available before version 7.4, so you can test your applications in advance.
Changes to audit logging
Status: IN PROGRES
The audit feature tracks key activities in Confluence and allows administrators to gain insight into how their instance is being used. Confluence 7.5 introduces a number of changes that help administrators manage their log more effectively.
The new audit log captures events in coverage areas (e.g. user management, security, applications) and allows administrators to decide which areas to track. In addition, administrators can choose how detailed their log should be for each area.
Data Center-only functionality
Some auditing functionality will only be available to customers with a Data Center license:
- Advanced and Full coverage levels (in addition to the Base level offered with a Server license)
- The option to integrate the audit log file with external tools
- Space-level auditing for Space Administrators
New REST API for audit logging
Due to changes in the audit log, new REST API endpoints have also been added.
